On the occasion of Martyrs Day, Bollywood and political leaders paid homage to the great Indian freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
Actor Sonu Sood and Dakssh Ajit Singh, along with several other Bollywood celebrities, took to Instagram to pay their tribute to the freedom fighters on social media on Shaheed Diwas. Sonu Sood shared pictures from his debut film ‘Shaheed-E-Azam,’ where he portrayed the character of Bhagat Singh. In his post, he remembered the sacrifices made by these great freedom fighters and expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to play the role of Bhagat Singh in his debut film.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid his respects to the revolutionaries and acknowledged their unparalleled contribution to the freedom struggle.
The sacrifice of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev continues to inspire generations even today. The trio was hanged by the British government on March 23, 1931, in the Lahore conspiracy case.
Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were young and driven by a fierce sense of patriotism and a desire for freedom from colonial rule. Their sacrifice was a reminder to the nation of the price of freedom and the courage it takes to fight for it.
As we remember these great revolutionaries on Shaheed Diwas, let us not forget the sacrifices made by countless other freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country. Their sacrifice continues to inspire us to strive towards building a better and more just society, where everyone is equal and enjoys the fruits of freedom and democracy.
Let us honor their memory by working tirelessly towards the progress and development of our nation, while upholding the values of peace, unity, and harmony. On this Shaheed Diwas, let us renew our commitment to the ideals for which these great souls fought and died, and pledge to build a brighter future for generations to come. Jai Hind!
