Shah Rukh Khan’s Starrer Dunki is a social comedy-drama based on an illegal immigration method called “Donkey Flight” or the illegitimate backdoor way to enter nations like the USA or Canada. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani the film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and also has Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, and Boman Irani in leading roles.

Rajkumar Hirani and SRK are reported to be trying to collaborate for a long time. Dunki basically is a story of a Punjabi man and his adventurous journey to Canada through an illegal immigration strategy called “dunki”.

A report suggests Dunki will pre-release globally as Shah Rukh Khan has a wide international audience and his films are doing incredibly well in the overseas market with smash hits like Pathaan and Jawan.

It is apparent that with Dunki the makers want to capture the wider international market a day before it hits theaters in India. After Pathan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year, Dunki is set for a planned release to become a massive crowd-puller targeting Christmas and New Year festivities. After Jawan attained ₹1000 crore business globally all eyes are on the Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan.

Reportedly, the Bollywood superstar was mobbed in Srinagar airport by fans as he reached to take a flight home to Mumbai.  The actor was returning from Kashmir after the film’s shoot. The film has been shot in several places from Kashmir to Saudi Arabia.

Actress Taapsee Pannu in a recent interview revealed, “Love story in Dunki is much more than other Rajkumar Hirani films.”

Shah Rukh himself had said the film would be a “big journey film” highly entertaining with opulent doses of comedy and drama.

Again, South superstar Prabhas’s Salaar is supposedly clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s DunkiSalaar produced by Hombale Films was slated to release on September 28 but now the makers are releasing it on the same date as Dunki.
