Alias Rukmini Release Date Confirmed: When Will Nithiin’s New Film Arrive?

Nithiin’s upcoming Telugu film, Alias Rukmini, has a confirmed theatrical release date: December 4, 2026. Actor Nani is presenting the film under Unanimous Productions, with Murali Kanth Devasoth directing the project.

The release announcement also leaves audiences with a central question: who is Rukmini? The makers have promised to reveal more about the character on October 13.

When will Alias Rukmini release in theatres?

Alias Rukmini will release worldwide in theatres on December 4, 2026, according to the makers’ October 9 announcement.

Nani shared the release update alongside a new poster featuring Nithiin. The announcement positions the film for a December theatrical launch, with further details expected before its arrival.

The release date is confirmed. However, the makers have not yet officially established the full supporting cast in the supplied information.

What is Alias Rukmini about?

Alias Rukmini centres on Krishna and Rukmini, with the title glimpse introducing a playful mystery surrounding the latter’s identity.

The August 2026 glimpse features Nani discussing a story with director Murali Kanth Devasoth. The conversation initially presents the project as a story about Krishna.

Nithiin then appears asleep in a chair, while books bearing Rukmini’s name catch Nani’s attention. When asked about the name, Nithiin reveals that Rukmini is his wife.

This unexpected answer gives the film its central hook. Instead of revealing the entire story, the glimpse invites audiences to discover the relationship between the two characters.

The film’s premise also creates room for romantic comedy and domestic humour. Its full plot, however, remains subject to further official details.

Who is Rukmini, and what will the makers reveal on October 13?

The makers have announced that more information about Rukmini will be revealed on October 13, 2026.

The character is central to the film’s title and its initial promotional material. Yet the announcement has not fully explained her role or revealed every detail of her relationship with Krishna.

That makes the upcoming update an important promotional milestone. It could clarify the character’s place in the story and give audiences a better understanding of the film’s premise.

For now, viewers should distinguish the promised reveal from speculation about the character or the casting.

Who stars in Alias Rukmini?

Nithiin leads Alias Rukmini, while Nani presents the film. Murali Kanth Devasoth is its writer and director, and Deepthi Ganta is the producer.

Here are the key details announced so far:

Aafiya Syed has been linked to the female lead role in reports, but the makers have not officially confirmed her casting in the information available for this article. Her involvement should therefore be treated as unconfirmed.

How does Alias Rukmini fit into Nithiin’s career?

Alias Rukmini gives Nithiin another romantic comedy-drama project following his appearance in the action-oriented film Thammudu.

Directed by Venu Sriram, Thammudu featured Laya, Sapthami Gowda and Varsha Bollamma among its cast. The film received a mixed-to-negative response, according to the supplied background information.

The new project shifts attention towards a story built around relationships and a character-driven mystery. Its December release will give audiences another opportunity to see Nithiin in a different kind of role.

For Nani, presenting the film adds another project to his production activities alongside his acting commitments. His involvement also gives the film a recognisable name in its promotional campaign.

What makes Alias Rukmini worth watching before its release?

The film’s most distinctive promotional element so far is its unanswered question about Rukmini.

Rather than relying only on its cast or release date, the title glimpse introduces a mystery through the relationship between Krishna, Rukmini and the books bearing her name. That approach gives the campaign a clear narrative hook.

The October 13 update could help establish whether the film will lean more heavily into romance, comedy or family drama. Until the makers share further details, audiences should avoid treating unconfirmed plot theories as facts.

With its December 4 release date now official, Alias Rukmini has a clear theatrical target. The next promotional reveal should provide a better sense of the story audiences can expect.

Bottom line: Alias Rukmini will arrive in theatres worldwide on December 4, 2026. Nithiin leads the film, Nani presents it, and the makers have scheduled a reveal about Rukmini for October 13.
