What Is The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest About?
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest blends Indian folklore, fantasy, supernatural mystery and suspense. Its story centres on Rishi, played by Sidharth Malhotra, and his wife Mamta, portrayed by Tamannaah Bhatia.
Rishi returns to his ancestral village, where a sacred forest known as Dev Van is at the centre of a dispute. A proposed road project threatens the forest, which local residents believe is protected by a powerful deity.
Deepak, played by Sunil Grover, supports the development, while Rishi’s brother Shashi, portrayed by Anup Soni, warns against disturbing the sacred woodland. The village follows a longstanding belief that nobody should enter the forest after sunset.
Rishi is sceptical of these beliefs, but entering the forest brings him face to face with forces that challenge his rational outlook. The story combines the conflict over development with folklore and supernatural elements.
