Sireesha Bhagavatula
Qala singer, Sireesha Bhagavatula, possesses a mesmerizing voice which truly embodies the truth that music is the language of the soul. Using her voice as an instrument, she has given depth and layer to the movie’s songs, which has set netizens abuzz. Hailing from Visakhapatnam, Sireesha comes from an artistic background and treats music as a discipline. This shows in the way she has forged her own style even as her melodies are reminiscent of some immortal tracks of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. She will be joining us to peel the curtains back from the woman and the voice.
Swanand Kirkire
To be a poet, lyricist, a theater artist and an actor who can marry these performing styles and create memorable moments in Hindi cinema is a rare gift indeed. Thankfully for us, Swanand Kirkire possesses this gift in abundance. Swanand, who recently sang the baritone notes in the song Shauq in the movie Qala, is also the voice and lyricist of other ageless songs such as Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh from 3 Idiots, Piyu Bole from Parineeta, Bande Me Tha Dum…Vande Mataram from Lage Raho Munnabhai. Coming from a middle-class family in Indore, Swanand had a long road to take before he made his mark in theater, which then led him to songwriting.
