Golmaal 5: Tusshar Kapoor Recalls Hilarious Night Shoots With Akshay Kumar, Says ‘Scenes Were A Riot’

Tusshar Kapoor has shared a glimpse into the making of Golmaal 5, revealing that filming with Akshay Kumar involved almost entirely night shoots. The actor said the comedy sequences were so entertaining that controlling laughter on set often became the biggest challenge.

The excitement around Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 5 continues to build, and actor Tusshar Kapoor has now opened up about his experience working with Akshay Kumar, who joins the blockbuster comedy franchise for the first time.

Speaking about the shoot, Tusshar revealed that the schedule featuring Akshay Kumar consisted almost entirely of night shoots, making it both physically demanding and incredibly entertaining.

In an exclusive conversation, Tusshar Kapoor said the cast spent several weeks filming overnight, with the comedy scenes making it difficult to stay serious during takes.

“The entire phase when we were shooting with Akshay sir was all night shoots. The scenes themselves were a riot and there were so many moments when I just couldn’t hold back my laughter while we were filming,” he shared.

Despite the fun atmosphere, the actor admitted the schedule was exhausting.

“We were wanting to get the work done because they were night shoots and they were very tiring. In the month of March, it was hot also. Fortunately, it was night because it wasn’t so humid,” Tusshar added.

‘At 3 AM, You Only Think About Finishing Your Shot’

Recalling the late-night shooting routine, Tusshar jokingly said that once the clock crossed 3 AM, the cast’s only focus was wrapping up their scenes.

“Raat ke teen-chaar baje aadmi vibe ka, chemistry ka, camaraderie ka nahin sochta! Sochta hai ki mera shot aa jaaye, main karke nikal jaaun,” he laughed.

His comments offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the hard work that goes into creating one of Bollywood’s biggest comedy franchises.

Golmaal 5 also marks the return of Lucky, Tusshar Kapoor’s iconic mute character that has become one of the franchise’s biggest highlights.

Since Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Lucky has entertained audiences with expressive body language, impeccable comic timing, and silent reactions that often steal the show. The character remains an integral part of the Golmaal gang even as new faces join the series.
