Anup Jalota is the first name that springs to mind when someone mentions bhajans. He truly deserves the title of India’s Bhajan Samrat. The recipient of the Padma Shri award received the coveted Akademi Puraskar, also known as the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, last year for his contributions to music. Anup Jalota is known for more than just his music; he also actively participates in events when he works hard to advance music and promising artists. And it was along this route that he recently met Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Anup Jalota posted a photograph of his meeting with CM Yogi along with a message of significance from their discussion. He also extended thanks to the UP government. Anup Jalota mentioned in a post on Instagram, “My chest fills with pride to see the state of Uttar Pradesh marching towards progress and development under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri @myogi_adityanath ji. At a recent meeting, he extended his support to promote music and support budding artists. I’m grateful for his support and I look forward to taking our musical tradition to new heights.”
This is not the first time when Anup Jalota has commended CM Yogi and the government. Previously, Jalota praised Yogi Adityanath for announcing plans to establish the “largest and most beautiful film city” in the nation in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The Bhajan Samrat also expressed his gratitude and congratulated Yogi Adityanath, in a video greeting. He mentioned, “I thank and congratulate UP CM Yogi Adityanath on the announcement of film city in UP. Mumbai film industry shines because of talents from UP. Now, when UP will have a film city, UP will shine.”
Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show, congratulates our Bhajan Samrat on this momentous deal with CM Yogi Adityanath. We too encourage emerging artists and would love to see Indian music take off worldwide.
