Avika Gor, the 27-year-old actress known for her roles in TV shows like Balika Vadhu and Sasural Simar Ka, recently experienced a major milestone in her career. She was invited to a special luncheon at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence. The event was held in honor of H.E. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, the Prime Minister of Vietnam. Avika was there to represent the Indian entertainment industry.

Avika Gor’s Proud Moment

Looking back on the occasion, Avika Gor describes it as a deeply proud moment. “It was a tremendous feeling of pride and a sign that I’m on the right track,” she says. “Such experiences boost your confidence and encourage you to keep pursuing what you believe in.”

Avika admits she was initially stunned by the invitation. “I never thought I would get invited to such an event so early in my career,” she reflects. “I had always dreamed of representing my country and the Indian entertainment industry, but I didn’t expect it to happen this soon.”

The event was intimate, with only a few attendees, which made for meaningful interactions. Avika had the chance to speak with PM Modi in Gujarati. “I greeted him with ‘Jai Shri Krishna,’ and he seemed really pleased,” she recalls. She also met the Vietnamese Prime Minister, who recognized her immediately. “He told me he knew how important I was to our country, which was really touching.”

Celebrating Indian Entertainment

Avika feels that this invitation highlights the importance of both her and the Indian entertainment industry. “We have a massive and successful entertainment sector with films and series that are well-received globally,” she notes. “I’ve traveled to places like Vietnam, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan, and it’s clear that people appreciate and enjoy Indian entertainment.”

Discussing the event with her family was an emotional experience for Avika. “Talking to my family about the event made me feel incredibly proud,” she says. “My father was overwhelmed with joy, and there’s a video of him picking me up that is just heartwarming.” She also reflects on her late grandfather, who was in the Air Force. “It would have been wonderful if he could have seen all of this,” she adds.

Changing Perceptions

Avika has noticed a shift in how her relatives view her work. “Though I’ve always worked hard, not everyone saw its value,” she shares. “But this event has changed their perception, and I’m now receiving a new level of respect from them.”

When she first received the invitation, Avika was skeptical. “I thought someone was joking when I got the call,” she admits. “It wasn’t until my dad explained how significant the invitation was that I realized its importance.” With his encouragement, she adjusted her schedule to attend the event.

Special Responses

At the luncheon, Avika was pleasantly surprised by the reactions she received. “People were curious about my connection with Vietnam, and the Vietnamese guests were thrilled to meet me,” she says. “They took pictures with me to share with their families, which was really special.”

Avika concludes that the experience was unforgettable. “Getting such a warm response from both Indian and Vietnamese people, along with recognition from both prime ministers, was incredibly moving,” she says.
