Kylie Jenner has recently shared her personal journey through postpartum depression and the challenges she faced while naming her children. In a heartfelt interview with British Vogue, the 26-year-old reality star and business mogul revealed the struggles she encountered after the births of her two children, Stormi and Aire, whom she shares with ex-partner Travis Scott.

Kylie Jenner Open About Dealing with Postpartum Depression

Kylie Jenner has been open about her experiences with postpartum depression, a condition she battled for nearly a year following both of her pregnancies. Reflecting on her life, Jenner admitted that the period after having her babies was extremely tough. She described how, during her pregnancies, she spent most of her time in sweatpants and struggled to manage even minor details of her life. The postpartum period, she said, was mentally and hormonally challenging, and she felt these difficulties more intensely with her second child.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star disclosed that the symptoms of postpartum depression were particularly overwhelming the second time around, leading to what she called “major baby blues.” This emotional struggle also made it hard for her to make decisions, including choosing a name for her newborn son.

Struggles with Naming Her Son

During this challenging time, Kylie faced difficulty in naming her son. She shared that she spent hours on the phone with her mother, crying and feeling helpless because she couldn’t decide on a name. She advised her pregnant friends to choose a name in advance, as hormonal changes can make decision-making nearly impossible.

Kylie confessed that not being able to name her son made her feel like a failure. “I felt like such a failure that I couldn’t name him. He deserved so much more than that. It just really triggered me,” she said. This struggle was compounded by the emotional turmoil she was experiencing.

Initially, Kylie and Travis Scott had named their son Knight, and he was also briefly called Wolf Jaques. Jenner even shared on Instagram that they had decided against the name Wolf, explaining that it didn’t feel right for their son. She posted a story to let fans know about the change, saying, “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”

The Reveal: Baby Aire

In January 2023, Kylie finally revealed her son’s name to the public. She shared several pictures of her baby on Instagram and confirmed that his name was Aire. This announcement came after much contemplation and emotional struggle, marking a new chapter for Kylie and her family.

Kylie Jenner’s openness about her postpartum depression and the challenges of naming her children offers a glimpse into the difficulties many new parents face. Her candidness highlights the importance of support and understanding during the postpartum period, and her journey serves as a reminder of the real struggles behind the glamorous facade of celebrity life.
