Why does Phata Patakha fit Nayyi Navelli?
The track reflects the film’s deliberately unconventional fantasy setting.
Nayyi Navelli combines fantasy, mystery and family entertainment. A zombie-filled dance sequence therefore adds another unexpected layer to its world.
The song does not appear to treat the zombies as purely threatening figures.
Instead, they become part of a large-scale musical celebration surrounding Yami’s character.
That contrast between supernatural imagery and an upbeat dance track gives the song its central novelty.
How does Yami Gautam feature in the song?
Yami Gautam takes centre stage in the song’s dance sequence and appears in a new avatar for the film. The choreography places her at the heart of the zombie-filled celebration.
Vijay Ganguly has choreographed the number with a colourful, high-energy approach.
The visual idea also gives the film a promotional advantage. A zombie dance party is an unusual premise for a mainstream family entertainer, making the song easy to distinguish from conventional festive releases.

Is Phata Patakha a festive song?
Phata Patakha carries a celebratory sound that could fit the festive season, particularly around Navratri. Its energetic music and dance-heavy presentation give it a natural connection to the season’s celebration.
However, the zombie theme keeps the track firmly connected to Nayyi Navelli’s fantasy world.
That combination could make the song particularly distinctive during a period when many festive releases compete for attention.

The song’s unusual concept also offers audiences an early glimpse into the film’s willingness to mix familiar family-entertainment elements with fantasy and mystery.
Why Phata Patakha could become Nayyi Navelli’s most memorable promotional song
The song’s biggest strength is its unusual central idea.
A colourful dance number featuring zombies immediately creates a visual identity that separates Phata Patakha from a standard promotional track.
It also uses Yami Gautam’s presence in an unexpected way.
Rather than relying only on conventional glamour or romance, the song makes the actor part of the film’s eccentric fantasy universe.
That makes Phata Patakha an important introduction to the tone of Nayyi Navelli ahead of its October 16 theatrical release.
