Shahid Mallya, the singer par excellence, has done it again. The singer who is known for his evocative and mellifluous voice is now up in a new single, ‘Mudke Dekha Hi Nahi’. The song has been released by Panorama Music and is a song about love, betrayal, regret and forgiveness.
Shahid is known for giving numerous Bollywood hits like Rabba main toh mar gaya oye, Do Dhaari Talwar, Kukkad Kamaal Da, Daryaa, Sacchi Mohabbat. And, fans and audiences were treated to his amazing voice in the the recently released Netflix film Qala.
‘Mudke Dekha Hi Nahi’ song is a paean to the raw and powerful emotions that heartbreak brings out and is much needed in a world where suffering in a relationship is often dismissed in the name of being strong.
Opening up on the new single, Shahid spoke fondly of his association with Panorama Music for two consecutive projects. He explained how his fondness for old songs has influenced his riyaaz and attuned him to feel the emotions before singing. Luckily, the song lyrics hit the right note and he could feel the pain conveyed through the beautiful lyrics.
The Qala singer Shahid Mallya’s single is also a nice moment for us at the show. Shahid has been a special guest at Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show on which he spoke about his less than glamorous journey of struggle and perseverance, from doing odd manual jobs for Bollywood composers to singing jingles and commercials while managing the demands of pursuing his dream even as his father was bedridden.
