The desire to work abroad exists in one out of every ten Indians. However, in order to work in America, Europe, or any other foreign country, one requires not just a college degree but also talent. Sunil Pal, a well-established and brilliant Indian comedian, was fortunate enough to land a job in America early on in his entertainment career. He recently discussed his challenges before breaking into the entertainment world in an interview with Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show. where he also explained why he declined the job offer in America, where he could have led the life of dreams.

Speaking to the host Jay Kumar, Sunil revealed that he visited America with Sonu Nigam in the year 2000. He says, “In the year 2000 I went to America along with Sonu Nigam. There I received a job offer in radio. I had a great chance to stay there. Although I was overjoyed, I was unable to accept the job offer because I can’t leave India. I turned down the fantastic offer because “Dil mein India, Dimaag mein Dandiya.”

Well, much like how everything happens for a reason, Sunil Pal’s job refusal did too. Sunil Pal’s career changed massively in the years that followed. In 2005, he triumphed in “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”. “Bhavnao Ko Samjho”, a comedy riot starring 51 comedians including Johnny Lever, Raju Srivastava, Kapil Sharma, Navin Prabhakar, Sudesh Lehri, and many more, was written and directed by him in 2010. This movie holds a record in the Guinness Book of World Records. With all these achievements and success, he continues to make people laugh with his impersonations and humour.

Sunil Pal’s journey from adversity to prosperity

Host Jay and Sunil Pal had a talk in which Sunil Pal explained his rise from adversity to prosperity. “I don’t know how this all transpired,” he said. Every time I run into Kapil Sharma, he gives the same response. Raju Srivastava, who had previously lagged behind others, unexpectedly outran them on the playing field; he was unaware of all of these happenings. Nature is what tugs our strings and makes us move the way it pleases. Since no one knew me prior to The Laughter Challenge, getting 1000 Rupees to 10,000 Rupees was a great deal to me. As time went on, I produced better work, and my check eventually reached a lakh rupees. Before the laughter challenge, I didn’t own a bicycle, and afterward, I acquired a car, a home, and a flat. Things happened that I could never have imagined. Don’t think about the outcome; simply do your job, says the Bhagavad Gita.”

Sunil’s life is a living example of this assertion

Continuing his opinion about life and struggles, Sunil Pal says, “I am in a wonderful place right now considering where I started out. All of my seniors and those who I formerly admired, see me as a member of their family. I am grateful for all these and I believe one must continue doing their job without thinking about the result. I have witnessed a lot of talented individuals who continue to struggle. God is the one who controls the timing and course of events. There won’t be any results if you stop working and place everything in God’s hands.”

What has made Sunil Pal who he is today is his commitment to accomplish his dreams. Visit Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show on youtube to learn more about his inspiring journey.
