Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, starring Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, has a new theatrical release date. The sequel to the much-loved 2006 comedy will now arrive in cinemas on March 5, 2027, after its earlier August 28, 2026, release plan was revised.
The makers announced the updated date on social media alongside a new poster. Their message read, “Deal Pakki! The Khoslas are ready to take possession of cinemas with #KhoslaKaGhosla2, arriving on the big screen on 5th March 2027!”
The announcement confirms a delay of several months for the sequel, which brings back familiar characters from the original film. The release-date change also means audiences will have to wait longer to see the Khosla family return to the big screen.
Anupam Kher and Boman Irani Return for Khosla Ka Ghosla 2
Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 brings Anupam Kher back as Kamal Kishore Khosla, while Boman Irani reprises his role as property dealer Kishan Khurana. Their characters were central to the original film’s story of a middle-class Delhi family caught in a property dispute.
The returning cast also includes Ranvir Shorey, Parvin Dabas, Tara Sharma and Kiran Juneja. The sequel adds Ravi Kishan, Divya Khossla, Harsh Chhaya, Tanya Maniktala and Danish Iqbal to its ensemble.
Directed by Prashant Bhagia, the film is backed by T-Series Films and Tandav Films. Its producers are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Savita Raj Hiremath and Raaj Hiremath.
What to Expect From the Khosla Ka Ghosla Sequel
The makers have not yet revealed the full storyline of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. However, the return of the original characters sets the stage for another story connected to the family’s everyday struggles, ambitions and dealings with the property world.
The 2006 original, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, followed a middle-class Delhi family attempting to reclaim land taken over through property fraud. Its blend of relatable family dynamics, sharp humour and an ordinary family’s determination helped it develop a lasting following among Hindi-film audiences.
The sequel revisits a franchise known for its take on middle-class aspirations and property-related conflicts. Whether the new film builds on the original’s distinctive humour with a fresh conflict remains to be seen, as further plot details have not been announced.
